Hint of Spring -  a lovely card showing 5 layers of Octogon matting and layering, here we have used the Eazi-box board and created 4 different sized Octogons from the 7 that are on the board.

 1.  Items required - Eazi-box board, 2.5 pieces of A4 cardstock, 18 inches ribbon, decoupage flower, glue, glitter or stickles, 3d pads.

  2. Fold base card in half (A5), place over Octogon's on bottom of board, emboss outer Octogon, cut out around embossing detail (this is the correct size for your A5 size card )

3. Layers - Using contrast card emboss the next size of Octogon from bottom of board, cut out, once again leave embossed detail showing on edge of card.   2nd layer, using original colour of card, place onto smallest octogon from top part of board, emboss then cut out as before, leaving embossed detail.

Finally emboss and cut out two small Octogons from bottom part of board

4 - On first layer glue narrow ribbon around edge of Octogon , on all other layers embellish outer edge with fine glitter or Stickles glitter glue.

 5 - add 3d pads to all layers, then layer each Octogon as shown.

6 - To complete this lovely card add your floral decoupage
